Data Source
NAVTEQ has 194 field offices in 42 countries around the world (mostly in the United States) that drive millions of miles annually capturing more than 200 attributes per segment through direct observation. NAVTEQ also relies on customer input. Their web-based feedback system allows customers to quickly report any discrepancies in the data. All feedback is validated before being integrated into the data.
NAVTEQ Street Data

Add-On NAVTEQ Products
Parcel Boundaries - This dynamic product gives you property boundaries, the basic administrative unit for land ownership by most local governments. NAVTEQ has assimilated parcels representing over 60 percent of the U.S. population, and that percentage is growing each month!
Point Addresses - NAVTEQ Point Addressing™ represents individual addresses and/or house numbers as point features. Within U.S. coverage, cadastral or parcel data is the typical source for these point addresses. As of Q4 2008, NAVTEQ has approximately 65 million point addresses, representing roughly 82% of the US population.
NAVTEQ Transport - Includes truck-specific road attributes represented by physical restrictions and legal guidelines. These can be used in truck navigation, strategic optimization, routing and dispatching.
NAVTEQ Traffic Patterns - Provides unique travel flow velocity estimates at 15 minute and hourly increments based on a Monday-Thursday, Friday and Sat/Sun model. NAVTEQ Traffic Patterns are a measure of typical traffic flow for a specific road and time. Currently includes data for more than 910,000 miles of coverage for major cities in the US, Puerto Rico and Canada.
Extended Listing Points of Interest (POI) - Includes hundreds of thousands of business listings for menu/category
customization and destination selection
